Thomas Meakin was born on 1st August 1819 in Swepstone, Leicester and baptised on 23 Jan 1820 as a Wesleyan Methodist, in London. He was the son of William Meakin and Ann Meakin and the maternal grandson of Thomas Meakin and Catharin. [1]
