Biography

Lynn "Linnie" Oneida Meacham was born on August 19, 1868, in Christian County, Kentucky, to John F. Meacham and Mildred Jane (Boyd) Meacham. She grew up in Fruit Hill, Kentucky, near the Hopkinsville post office, and later resided there during her early adulthood. In 1887, she married Frazier Westley Owen Jr., but tragically became a widow upon his death in 1889. However, Linnie found love again and married Benjamin Marcus Bogard on August 18, 1891, in Christian County, Kentucky. The couple eventually settled in various locations in Arkansas, including Searcy, Little Rock, and Garland Township. Throughout the years, Linnie remained dedicated to her family and community, as evidenced by her steady presence in Pulaski County, Arkansas, from 1910 until her passing. She lived a long and fulfilling life, passing away on March 17, 1952, in Little Rock, Arkansas, and was laid to rest at Roselawn Memorial Park.
