I could use a bit of guidance on sharing images, if you don't mind my asking. I have the recorded births, marriages and deaths from a family Bible I'd like to share. The majority of the dates are for my great grandmother's family, but a few others are listed too. It would make sense to post these images on my 3rd g great grandparents' page (L D Minner/ R R Crane), but I don't want the others who don't belong in this family to get lost in the shuffle. I'm sure I'm making this much more difficult than it is, but, when undertaking something like this, I worry that I might make a mess of someone else's hard work or could cause confusion. I'm better at writing papers. 😊 Thank you.

Hi Marci

Thank you for your question. The following is the FAQ page about photos - https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Photos_FAQ

In regards to others listed in your family bible but not part of the family, if you have found these folk already here and wish to add images to these other profiles not linked to your family. If the privacy setting allows the image tab to seen you should be able to upload an image of the entry to the profile. Giving details of the source for example Photograph of entry for ...enter name..... in found in Mathis Family bible (c1880) in the possession of M Mathis Photographed 2020 by M Mathis

If no profile on wikitree the entry and photograph can be used to create a new profile.

For more help you could move your comment above into the G2G forum so other folk can offer their advise as well. Look at the comment you will see reply flag move to G2G click this and a new page open placing your question in the open forum - tag the question Photos and help

Hope this helps you and you are correct it is important not to let such precious items get lost.

All the best Janet
