Ed (Marden Jr) Marden Jr
According to his son, Harry, the night before Edwin Forrest Marden died, he was visited by his physician (they made house calls back then.) After examining him, the doctor put his instruments away and slowly said "Well, Ed, you aren't going to be with us much longer." Ed replied " I know it, but I won't die in bed." The next morning, at the flour mill where he worked, Ed unloaded a ton and a half of grain in 100 pound sacks,from a rail car - working alone. Then he died from an apparent cardiac arrest.
