Biography

Ida Mack is a part of US Black heritage.

Ida was born in 1866. She is the daughter of Walter Mack and Caroline Unknown.

In 1870, Ida, age 4, lives with her inferred parents, Walter, age 48 and working as a laborer, and Caroline, age 33. The family lives in Sugar Creek, Boone County, Indiana. Ida has four siblings. And there is a lodger in the family home, Emily Derrickson, 27, born in Kentucky. ^[1]

In 1880, the family has moved to Crawfordsville, Indiana. There six children and four lodgers in the home. Walter is working as a cobbler, while Caroline keeps house. Ida is fourteen years old. ^[2] Teresa T. Mack, about 23, and Mary A. Mack, about 18, are no longer in the household.
