Anna (Macarthur) Wickham was born in the Colony of New South Wales (1788-1900)

Anna (Macarthur) Wickham is Notable.

Anna Macarthur was born on the 7th of December 1816, at the Vineyard, Parramatta in the Colony of New South Wales (Australia), the second of the six daughters born to Hannibal Hawkins Macarthur and Anna Maria King, and baptised in April of the following year.^[1][2][3]

Anna was an artist and sketcher of landscapes and architecture.^[4]

Anna Macarthur wed Royal Navy officer, John Wickham, on the 27th of October 1842, at St John's Church of England (Anglican Church) at Parramatta in the Colony of New South Wales.^[5] They had three children:

1. Charles Brenton Wickham (1843-1908)
2. Ellen Susan Wickham (1846-1933)
3. Alfred William Wickham (1849-c. 1924)

In 1847, John purchased the grand homestead, Newstead House, with its views of the Brisbane River, off Anna's brother-in-law, Patrick Leslie. The family lived here until it was sold in 1859.^[3]

Anna Wickham passed away, aged 35 years, on the 23rd of June 1852, at Parramatta in the Colony of New South Wales.^[6][7]
