Biography
Elizabeth was born in 1858. She passed away in 1946. ---
excerpt from letter written by Mabel (Bethel) Wohlgehagen:
"My Mother died at age of 86. She had a beautiful alto voice and she and a friend always sang duets for church, funerals, etc. and was still doing that at her age."[1]
Research Notes
Despite Mabel's remembrance that her mother died at the age of 86, I have used the birth and death dates shown for Elizabeth in the Bethel family bible. Both the burial links (below) confirm those dates. Clearly Elizabeth would have been 88 at the time of her passing.
