Hello Matt,

I noticed that you're adding quite a few new profiles, this morning; some of them are pre-1700 profiles. This is just a reminder that you need to add valid sources, as described in the Pre-1700 Certification Quiz. Family trees are not considered valid sources, so hopefully you will be able to replace these with stronger sources soon.

If you're not sure what is meant by valid sources for pre-1700 profiles, there's more info here.

If you have questions, please ask.

Thanks! Betty

Hi Betty, thanks for your concern. I am well aware of the pre-1700 profile requirements, however I was frantically attempting to get a couple of hundred profiles in whilst I had the opportunity in the middle of last night. I am going back right now to manually add in the correct sources which for some reason did not make it out alive from my FTM, which is acting up at the moment.

Thanks, Matt

Have a great day! Betty

Matt, Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, thus coordinating with others is essential.

The England project Wendy Sullivan and Susie MacLeod seems to fit your ancestors. Click the link to read how to join.

Or use the Pre-1700 Projects list, located at the top of your page, 4th topic on right, under <Find> and <Projects>.

For questions, just ask!

PS If "Page Not Found" error occurs in your email, check the comments on your profile page for this message.

Hi Matt,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week now so I thought I would check in to see how it's going. Have the How-Tos been helpful or left you with questions?

We want to help! Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. If that's happened to you, check the public comments on your profile. The links will work from there.

Hi Matt,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

Ludwig :)
