Biography

Marquis was born in Indiana on 13 March 1844.^[1] His parents were Isaac and Sally (Gunn) Kelly. On 18 December 1870 Marquis married Jenetta Nicholson.^[2] The couple had children Isaac and Adelia.^[3] Marquis, a farmer until his last years, died in Alexandria, Indiana, on 15 December 1928.^[1] He is buried in the IOOF cemetery in Alexandria.^[4]
