She married Eugene Helton on 6 August 1956, in Alexandria, Virginia, United States.[4]
She died on 7 December 2018, in Georgia, United States, at the age of 78, and was buried in Spring Hill Primitive Baptist Church Cemetery, Sparks, Cook, Georgia, United States.[5]
