Bill Welch (Mr. Welch is deceased. He was a descendant of Levi's sister Matilda Armenia Jones Welch Oller and we were acquainted) told me today, March 28, 2002, that Levi was a justice of the peace.

Jones and Nancy Ann Coleman on the 20th day of A.D. August, 1846 - the said Levi B. Note for Levi Bauze Aday Jones: I, G. Cox am 73 years of age, came to Scott County in 1871, moved to Waldron about 1874; I have been well acquainted with the family of Levi Bauze Ady Jones, my wife being one his children, but I never knew the said Levi Bauze Ady Jones, since he died as I have been informed about the year 1860. He left a widow Nancy Jones, who died about 1894, and seven children: 1. Thomas F. Jones; 2. Mary E. Jones, who married a man named Harland, and who died about 30 years ago leaving two children, Luther R. Harland and Rebecca E. Harland, who married W.N. Glass; 3. Levi B. Jones; (My Note: my 2nd great grandfather) 4. W.R. Jones, a son, who died without issue and leaving a widow Emma Jones; 5. P.S. Jones, also known as Percifer S. Jones; 6. William N. Jones, who died about 48 years ago, leaving a widow, Nancy L. Jones, who afterwards married a man named Vaughn. (William N. Jones left six children: A.G. Jones, a son; Tom Jones; Will Jones; L.B.E. Jones, son; Mary Jones, a daughter, who is now Mary Hart; Lou Jones, a daughter, now Lou Gipson, widow of Ike Gipson;) 7. Margaret Ann Jones, his daughter, who afterwards married G. Cox and who died in the year 1912, leaving her husband and 3 children: Mrs. L.l.. Sullivan, Mrs. Lucien Beavers; and Gene Cox G.
