Earnest James Johnson is a part of US Black heritage.

Earnest James was born in 1892. He was the son of L W Johnson and Hattie Griffin.

In the 1900 census Ernest (age 8) was the stepson of Rufus H Beard in San Marcos, Hays, Texas.[1]

In the 1910 census Earnest (age 18), Laborer, was the single stepson of Rufus Beard in San Marcos Ward 2, Hays, Texas, United States.[2]

Earnest served in the Quartermaster Corps during World War I.[3]

In the 1950 census Ernest (age 58), Janitor, was the married head of household in Vernon, Wilbarger, Texas, United States.[4]

Earnest, son of L W Johnson & Hattie Beard, died (age 75) on 12 November 1967 in Vernon, Wilbarger, Texas, United States.[5] Ernest was buried in Eastview Memorial Park, Vernon, Wilbarger County, Texas, United States.[6]
