In 1880, he (25), was a Farmer hand, at 1st Ward, St Landry, Louisiana, USA. The home conisted of him, Pauline, and three of their children. His mother-in-law was living with them.^[3]

It is not currently known where he was living in 1910. He was not in the home with Pauline, daughter and son-in-law.

In 1920, he (67) was a married father and Laborer, living in the household of his son Ed (35), in Beaumont Ward 3, Jefferson, Texas. ^[4]

Alfred passed away about 1925, aged about 69. This is known because his wife did an interview about slave life in 1937. At that time she said he had passed 12 years prior.^[5]
