Biography

William Thomas Jackson (aka Tom, and Thomas William ) was born in Skirlaugh district in 1877 ^[1]

His mother, Sarah Elizabeth Jackson, married Edwin Butler in 1880, and Thomas sometimes used the surname of Butler.

Annie Brown married William Thomas Jackson in Hornsea on 5 April 1902. William gave no father's name, Annie was the daughter of George Brown, deceased, a shepherd ^[4]

Harry Brown, with Tom Jackson and his wife Annie (nee Brown, Harry's first cousin). The two young girls on the right of the picture are possibly Beryl Jackson, born 1932, and Shirley Jackson, born 1934, the daughters of Sydney Jackson, and the granddaughters of Tom and Annie

Tom died in Hornsea on 27 February 1969, aged 91, and was buried in Southgate Cemetery, Hornsea ^[8]
