Biography

"Eldad, son of Henry Jackson, married Cynthia Starr, May 28, 1808. He removed to Ohio not long after 1830." Eldad and Cynthia had six children: Oliver Parsons Jackson (27 Feb 1809 - 8 Sep 1830); Harriet Rachel Jackson (7 Jan 1813 - ); Henry Jackson (1 Aug 1816 - ); Martha Maria Jackson (6 Nov 1820 - ); Frederick William Jackson (7 Jun 1822 - ); and Andrew Eliot Jackson (19 Nov 1830 - ). ^[1]

On 3 Sep 1830, Oliver P. Jackson died in Connecticut, USA. The inscription on his headstone reads, "son of Eldad C & Cynthia Jackson died Sept 8, 1830 aged 21 years 6 months and 11 days." ^[2]
