Biography
Press Jackson was born in Bath County Kentucky in 1849[1].
He was the son of Thomas Jackson and Nancy Barber.
He married Mary Elizabeth Shouse in Salt Lick, Bath County in 1870. They were the parents of Clay Allen Jackson and William Roe Jackson[2].
Preston served 6 months in the US Army in the Civil War in 1865 [3].
US Find A Grave Index reports that Preston's second wife was Etta Bates, and that they raised her nephew James Earl Igo [1] She was born in 1872, and they were married 3 years in 1900. [4].
Preston died 18 Jul 1926[5] and is buried in Dickerson Cemetery, Salt Lick, Bath Co, Kentucky[1].
