Biography

Harriet Jackson was born at Davidstown, Kildare, Ireland, on 25 April 1848. She was the daughter of Samuel Jackson and Elizabeth Browne.

When and how did she come to NZ?

She married Richard John TREGOWETH at Thames, New Zealand on 17 Aug 1871 ^[1], when she was aged 23 years and Richard was aged 33 years and with 2 young children in tow.

They had at least 6 children together:
