We've put together a survey for you to fill out to check in with you, it will only take a moment as there are only a few questions. Filling out the survey lets us know you are still interested in coordinating your study and provides an opportunity for you to share any suggestions you may have for the project.

If you have decided to step away from your study, please reply to this comment to that effect.

Hi Janine! Thanks so much for joining the South Central Appalachia Team. I look forward to working with you. If you have any questions or suggestions, post them to the team page or send me a private message. My strength is cheerleading, organization, and templates (notice "sources" is lacking - working so long with burned counties, I've not had a lot of experience with quantities of intact records!) - one thing I was thinking of doing was ask each team member to pick a county (or two) to focus on. Does that sound like a good idea to you?

Cheers, Liz

I sent you a check-in message a week ago about the Military and War Project to ask you about your continued involvement but have not yet heard back from you. Do you still want to be in the project? If I don’t hear from you by the same time next week I’ll assume that you’ve moved on to other things but you’re most welcome to re-join the project at any time.

Hi,

It’s Germany Project check-in time again! Please respond within the next 2 weeks and let me know if you’re still interested in participating with the Project. Remember, the only requirements for membership in the Germany Project are (1) that you work on at least one German profile every 6 months and (2) that you respond to this check-in.

Since you’re not working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams yet, please look at our main Project page for a full list and let me know which team you’d like to join.

Please respond to this message by posting a reply below or sending me a private message on WikiTree. In your response, we welcome any feedback you may want to give on the project (what you like about it, what you’d like to see us do, what we could change, etc.)

If you ever have any questions, please ask. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

Hi, How’s it goin’? Im just doing a weekly check-in with my teammates for the Indexers group.

I’ve done a few updates and added a few links to the page and We were approved as an actual project under the US Projects list.

I was wondering if you are tracking your numbers? I’d love to be able to add your numbers to the teampage. Oh we have a cool sticker now that links the page to your profile.

I’m working on updating and reforming the spreadsheets. I am just wondering if you are planning on using it? I have 21 on the list but only 8 actually using it. It doesn’t matter either way and if you are tracking your numbers somewhere else you could add them on the team page I just need to add you as a manager. Anyhow, The team is doing great! We have indexed over 1400 Names! Thanks for being part of this crazy ride.

Thanks for joining the Germany Project! I've awarded you a project member badge. Please read the main Germany Project Page (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Project:Germany) to familiarize yourself with what we do. Also please add GERMANY to your list of followed G2G tags (see Help:Tags: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Tags#How_to_follow_tags), so you can follow what the project is working on.

When you have a chance, please submit a join request to our Google Group (https://groups.google.com/g/wikitreegermanroots), where our project communicates. Please make sure to add your name and WikiTree ID to the request so we can get you set up.

The Germany Project has several teams that cover regional, functional, historical and migrational interests. Please check them out and let me know which team(s) you'd like to join. PS For this event, "connecting" means that you add a profile from one of the links on an existing profile for parents, siblings, spouse, and children. The goal is not to connect to the main tree but to add as many linked profiles as possible.

Hi,

On behalf of the Germany Project, I am currently undergoing our member check-in's and wanted to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Sub-projects or Teams? We have many new teams so have a look on the Germany project page for the full list. I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google groups for project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup, please submit a join request and we will get that approved as quickly as possible. We also ask that you check your followed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (GERMANY) so you don't miss any discussions in G2G.

We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hardwork. If you have any questions please ask. I would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project!

Please respond by private message. I look forward to hearing from you soon!

I noticed you changed Mary Goodwin Sherrill's profile to talk about Martha Sherrell Dunn instead.

Repurposing profiles to refer to someone else is not really OK, especially when it looks like Mary had valid sources listed. Please see: https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Recycling_WikiTree_IDs

Hello Janine,

Welcome to the WikiTree family!

WikiTree is different than other genealogy websites because our goal is to have one profile per person, and that means we share ancestors and work together as a BIG collaborative team! I hope you'll love it as much as I do!

The email we just sent has helpful links to get you started. When you confirm your email address, you’ll be given an opportunity to volunteer to help document our collective family history.

Use the Tags and comments to tell us about your genealogical interests.

When you volunteer, one of our Greeters will confirm your membership. Then you'll be able to add your family to the tree!

Charlotte (Georgia, USA)

P.S. I'm happy to answer any questions!
