Gwyneth (Hughes) Taylor reached the Blue Skies milestone by sourcing 50 profiles in the October 2023 Sourcerers Project Sourcerers' Challenge.
I have noticed on a few profiles you have used Auto GedCom Cleanup, but then didn't complete tidying the profiles and instead added a maintenance category to do GedCom cleanup. For example, https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Everitt-58. Is there a reason for this approach? If you could finish the cleanup, you wouldn't need to add them to the category and then no one else will need to look at them. Thanks for considering shifting your workflow. (And thanks for your work cleaning up Gedcoms!)

Thanks Stuart,

I have responded, look forward to hearing from you.

Gwynneth, thanks so much for being part of the Toddlin' Tortoises Team for the July 2022 Connect-a-Thon. Every well-constructed profile added helps to grow a healthier Tree!

Two tortoises, Hertyl and Spertyl, dressed in their spiffy Connect-a-Thon Tuxedo coats, the one on the left holding a top hat in "hand", and the one on the right with a glass of champagne. Between them is a multi-carriage wood or coal burning steam train, near the wheels of which are the words "slow train". Above the train is the WikiTree DNA tree logo, across which are the words "Wonderful WikiTreer". Floating above the logo are the words "Toddlin' Tortoises", and at the bottom of the image is the phrase "We're all winners in the end" — because we are. All winners.
Hertyl and Spertyl just want to say: "What a Wonderful WikiTreer you are".

Hi Gwynneth!

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz!

Because pre-1700 ancestors are usually shared by many descendants, collaborating with members of the projects which coordinate them is essential.

Use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find one which best fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Review the project pages to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.

Can't find what you're looking for? Let me know, and I can make some suggestions! :-)

Remember to cite reliable sources in pre-1700 profiles you manage, or edit. (See: Pre-1700 Reliable Sources).

Thanks for your note, Gwyneth. I had a look at your great-grandfather's profile and you're doing great. A quick tip: If you put an asterisk ( * ) in front of the additional sources you are adding, that's a formatting code that tells the line to indent and have a bullet point in front of it. If you want just an indent and no bullet point, use a colon ( : ) at the beginning of the line.

PS Thanks for sharing the pictures. They really bring your family to life!

Hi Gwyneth,

You've been a member of WikiTree for about a week so I am checking in to see how it is going. The New Member How-Tos are for you to work at your own pace. If you had time to look, were they helpful?

I'm here to help with questions about how WikiTree works. Just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page. I'll get back to you by the end of the day.

Debi ~ WikiGreeter

PS If you get a "Page Not Found" error when clicking WikiTree email links, you can often find a working version in the public comments on your profile.

PPS Did you discover that the tags on your profile are clickable links to a page of other people who have that tag? You can add more, up to 20 total.

Hi Gwyneth,

Thanks for volunteering! You are now a full member of the WikiTree community, and can start adding your family. Let me know if you have any questions.

Since WikiTree is different from other genealogy sites, we have a guided tour for new members at New Member How-To. Feel free to work through the How-Tos at your own pace.

Once you add profiles to WikiTree they become searchable and in my experience persons interested in these profiles will contact you and may provide further information to expand your family tree.

Great to have you on board, enjoy, and good luck growing your branches.

P.S. If you ever get a "Page Not Found" error when you click a link in a WikiTree email, you can usually find a functioning link in the public comments section of your profile page.
