Biography
Elizabeth (Hooley) Newington was born in the Colony of Victoria (1851-1900)
Elizabeth was born in 1865, the daughter of Isaac Hooley and Maria Baker. [1]
In 1888, Elizabeth Hooley married Thomas Newington in the Colony of Victoria.[2]
She passed away in 1940, aged 75. [3]
OBITUARY Mrs E. NEWINGTON. After an illness of some weeks Mrs. Elizabeth Newington died on Wednesday at the residence of her son, Walter, 14 Richard-street. Deceased, who was born at Ballarat 75 years ago, was the wife of Mr Thomas Newington, of 16 Freyer-street, a member of the local hospital committee. The funeral, largely attended, took place on Friday morning from Jackson's chapel for the Melbourne Cemetery. Rev. A. E. Blackwell held a service in the chapel and officiated at the cemetery.[4]
