Hi Mary,

Thank you for your interest in creating Native American profiles. I wanted to make sure you are aware we use the tribe's name for LNAB for the time before last names were used. Also, I believe there may be a misunderstanding about the nature of collaboration on this site. On WikiTree we all collaborate on our shared tree. A shared tree means only one profile for each individual. Please read more about duplicates here https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Help:Duplicates. When we find duplicates, we merge them. If you reject a requested merge, please provide sources as to why you think this individual is a different person.

Thank you, Sarah Mason, Native Americans Project Leader

Hi again Mary

You have been a member for a week. Looks like it is going well. Were the pages of the How-Tos helpful or did they leave you with questions?

When you click the green tags on your profile page, you can see if other members are following that tag. Add tags for locations, Country, County or topic of interest. The more tags you add the more links to community & research options Follow this link to get to your Tags editing your tags

If links do not work in an email from Wiki Tree, try them from the comment section of your profile page

Any queries just click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page or send me a private message.

Thanks Mary for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz

Because pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants, working within the projects coordinating them is essential. Please ensure location data matches date of profile and avoid abbreviations. Citations & links for sources enable verification of data please add from wiki ID go to Research to find sources

The Dutch Rootswould be of interest. Adding the tag DUTCH_ROOTS also add IRISH_ROOTS for another project link

Explore Pre-1700 Projects list to find one that fits your research focus, whether time period, location, or topic. Read the goals & tasks of the project join if it fist.

Any questions please ask

Welcome Mary

I am pleased to confirm you as a full member, and welcome you to the WikiTree family as your contributions will go a long way to joining the world together.

I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.

I am here to help answer any question you have, no matter how trivial you may think it is. There is no such thing as a silly question. Add as much information as you can, it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site

Happy tree climbing

Karen ~ WikiTree Greeter
