What is yourDNAportal?

YourDNAportal is a website based in England that offers free DNA analysis and matching with relatives. They are not a testing company. Instead, you upload your raw data autosomal DNA test results from 23andMe, AncestryDNA, MyHeritageDNA, Family Tree DNA, etc.

Connecting yourDNAportal and WikiTree

Enter your yourDNAportal Profile ID on WikiTree

First you need to find your yourDNAportal Profile ID. This is not the same as your Account ID. Your Account ID is chosen by you. It's like a username. Your Profile ID is an automatically-assigned string of numbers and letters like XYZ12345ab6.

To find your yourDNAportal Profile ID, go the pull-down menu on yourDNAportal that has your Account ID. From there, select "Settings." Then select "Shareable profile."

This will say something like "yourDNAportal Profile ID: XYZ12345ab6".

Copy this ID (e.g. XYZ12345ab6) and go to Special:DNATests on WikiTree. To enter it onto an existing test click the "EDIT OR ADD MORE DETAILS" button by the test.

Enter your WikiTree ID on yourDNAportal

To enter your WikiTree ID on your yourDNAportal profile, go to the pull-down menu on yourDNAportal that shows your username. From there, select "Settings." Then select "Shareable profile." Select the "EDIT PROFILE" button at the bottom of the page and find the WikiTreeID input field. Don't forget to select the "SAVE CHANGES" button after entering your WikiTree ID.
