Elizabeth "Lizzy" S. Hawley was born in October 1853 in Lee, Virginia, the daughter of Nancy Buchanan and Henry H. Hawley.[1] She married Wilson Edward Dougan (1845–1921) on November 23, 1873, in Moscow, Tennessee.[2] They had 10 children but four died before 1910;[3][4] those known are:
She died in August 1929 in Nevada, Arkansas, at the age of 75, and was buried in Emmet, Arkansas.[6]
