Martin Harter died March 15, 1850, and his wife Catherine on February 2, 1867. Both are buried in the Briggsville Cemetery, Nescopeck Township. Their children were: 1. Maria born January 13, 1807; 2. Lidia born January 23, 1808, died June 24, 1879, marri ed December 21, 1828, George Karchner born October 26, 1804, died February 15, 1880; 3. Jacob born Novem ber 25, 1809, died April 12, 1874, married Anna Margareta (Whitmire) Dieterich March 4, 1832, born December 29, 1814, died March 28, 1882; 4. Hanna born December 7, 1811, died 1843, married David Diehl ; 5. Elizabeth born November 16, 1817, died December 17, 1905, married Samuel Miller; 6. Martin IV, born January 17, 1816, married Maria ; 7. John, born August 27, 1817, died April 7, 1900, married June 11, 1843, Lydia Reedler, born October 21, 1821, died January 3, 1899; 8. Conrad, born March 17, 1821, died January 12. 1893, married September 23, 1841, Elizabeth Maurer, born November 18, 1820, died January 6, 1893; 9. Michael, twin brother of Conrad, died September 21, 1867, married Abigail Toole,January 16, 1847, she was born February 19, 1823, died May 28, 1908; 10. Samuel, born October 24, 1824, died October 24, 1904, married April 25, 1847, Eliza Bloss.
