Canadian roots (French, English and German) from 1690 with French lines including Janisse, Laforet, Reaume, Renaud, Drouillard: English lines including; Greenaway, Bond and German lines including: Helwig. American roots from 1700 inclining lines Harden, McDowell, Marvel, Simpson, Walker (mostly from the southern U.S.). Would be interested in learning how to do onsite searches in local archives. Interested in developing collaborative relationships. Willing to share whatever I know or have researched with others.
I have been actively involved in family history research most of my adult life. Born in Michigan in 1953 to Arnold Harden and Maxine Harden (nee Janisse). Robert Harden was my only sibling born in 1948. We resided in Michigan but moved to California then Oregon. I attended the University of Oregon earning a B.S. and M.S. in Speech Language Pathology then pursued a career as a speech-language pathologist. I also served a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in the Washington D.C. South Mission.
When I read you have Canadian roots, I got excited and wanted to see how we connect, but when I clicked on your family tree link, it didn't work for me, or probably anyone for that matter unless they have a paid account with Ancestry.com. Can you please grant me access to view your tree on Ancestry.com? My user ID is judi_stutz. Cheers - Judi Stutz-25
