Biography

Fanny (Hall) Burrows was born in Cheshire, England.

Frances Hall was born about 1848 in Audlem, Cheshire, England. She was the daughter of Thomas Hall & Ann Davies, was baptised on 9 July 1848 in Audlem. The family were living in Audlem and her father was a Shoemaker. ^[1]

In 1851 Fanny 2, was living with her widowed mother and siblings in Audlem,^[2] and in 1861 Bignall End, Staffordshire. Her mother had remarried to William Riley. ^[3]

On 3 February 1868 Fanny 21, daughter of Thomas Hall married Robert Burrows (age 23), in Biddulph, Staffordshire,^[4] and in 1871 they were living in Wood lane, Audley, Staffordshire, where Robert worked as a labourer, and they had 2 children. ^[5]

By 1881 they had moved on to live in Manchester, Lancashire. Husband Robert 32, had joined the Police Service as a Constable, and Fanny 32 had 5 children at home. ^[6] They remained living in Manchester, ^[7] and had 11 children beween 1867 and 1890. ^[8] In 1911, Fanny was 62, husband Robert now retired. ^[9]

Fanny died in 1916 age 67, and was buried at Philips Park Cemetery, Miles Platting, Manchester, with a burial date of 16 February 1916. ^{[10] [11]}
