Biography
Aaron was born in Chelsea, Massachusetts, in 1812, the son of Aaron and Abigail (Pratt) Hall.[1] He was a farmer and was never married. In 1860, he resided in Malden, Mass., with his mother, a widow.[2]
He enlisted in the Civil War on November 1, 1862. (Records say he was 41, but he was actually closer to 50.) He mustered in as a Private in Company F of the Massachusetts 48th Infantry on November 13 of that year. He became ill not long after. Aaron died of “lung fever” in December of 1862 at a Boston hospital.[3] He was 50 years old. His final resting place has not yet been identified.
