Aroet Hale was born on June 06, 1850 in Salt Lake City, Salt Lake, Utah, United States. His parents were Aroet Hale and Olive Whittle.
Soon afterward his parents moved to Grantsville, where he spent his childhood. In 1859 he was called by the president of L.D.S. church to help pioneer Bear Lake Valley, being the only single man called. He married Eliza Lee on September 11, 1869, daughter of Isaac Lee of Tooele, Utah. Soon afterward he moved his wife to Liberty, where their little home was built about 100 yards south of where the L.D. S. chapel now stands. In 1885 he came to Star Valley where he has since resided. After the death of his wife in 1919 he devoted his life to genealogy and temple work.
He married Ruth Hatch on October 06, 1920. and since that time has spent most of his time in Salt Lake City doing temple work, and it is said of him that for the last two years he has done more real temple work than anyone they know of, often officiating in one shift and doing three names in a day on his record on endowments, and on baptismal days he hardly ever missed being at the font.
On October he was hit by a street car, and at first it was thought he would recover, but his mind seemed effected and his body gradually became paralyzed until Christmas morning at 4:30 he passed on. He died on December 25, 1926 in Logan, Cache, Utah, United States. [1]
