During the winter, the Nordic Project performed check-ins, sent as a private message from your profile. You are one of those members who has not replied, and this is a last chance to get in touch and let us know if you like to continue as member in the Nordic Project.
Please answer this comment, and get in touch by sending my Co-Leader, Missy Berryann (https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Berryann-1) a private message. If we have not heard from you within a month you will be removed from the Nordic google group and your badge will be removed.
If you have not received any check-in emails, you might want to check that your email address for WikiTree is one you actually still use.
Thank you!

Hi Richard,
I haven't looked at your full tree, but we're probably related through the Greers. I've been working on another match when I came across your Gedmatch on Wikitree.
Thanks for sharing on Wikitree! Virginia

PS Sometimes links don't work in emails. You can always find a link that works in the public comments on your profile.
Thanks for becoming pre-1700 certified. Now that you will be working on older profiles you will find yourself collaborating more with others. The best way to do this is by joining a project. I see you have ancestors involved in the Magna Carter. Have a look at the Magna Carter Project, and see what you think. Give me a shout if you have any questions.
Thanks, Susie :-)
Your YDNA line is through you father, YDNA passes from father to father basically unchanged for thousands of years. Your haplogroup is determined from certain SNP marker values, Y-chromosome DNA (Y-DNA) haplogroups are determined by single-nucleotide polymorphism (SNP) tests. SNPs are locations on the DNA where one nucleotide has "mutated" or "switched" to a different nucleotide. Because a haplogroup consists of similar haplotypes, it is possible to predict a haplogroup. Although you are a member of a Haplogroup with many other men it does not necessarily indicate that you are closely related. In fact two men of the same haplogroup can be so distantly related that it would be impossible to determine common ancestry, To determine if two individuals are genetically related requires analysis and comparison of their unique marker values. It is not possible to determine relationship to a distant ancestor by haplogroup alone.
You expressed an interest in your potential Magna Carta ancestry. Although it can be a challenging task to prove such ancestry it is possible to do so. It involves proving each connection from child to parent all along the line from you to the Surety Baron. Not an easy task, but an interesting one. And if you happen to be a descendant of a known Magna Carta Gateway Ancestor your work is much easier. There is a WIkitree Project whose purpose it is to document and improve the direct lineage trails between these Gateway Ancestors to the Magna Carta Barons.
For more information please see : Welcome to the Magna Carta Project and Requirements for Membership
