Norman Gillis is a part of US Black heritage.

Norman Gillis was born on either 1 Dec 1897 or 2 Dec 1897 in Tarrytown, Montgomery, Georgia, United States, son of Sam Gillis (~1845– ) and Augusta F Troup (~1865– ).

He married Rachael Brown on 31 December 1915 in Laurens County, Georgia, United States and they had at least one child together.^[1]

He later married Mary L Unknown (1908-2008).

Norman died on 20 Mar 1989 in Wheeler County, Georgia, aged 91. He is buried beside his wife Mary in Alamo Memorial Gardens, Alamo, Georgia.^{[2] [3] [4]}
