Biography
Michela was born in 1838 to Salvatore Giaccone and Anna Barbera [1]. In 1863 at age 25, she married 30-year-old Don Pasquale Lapisardi, a civil employee living in Palazzo Adriano about 30 miles away. The couple remained in Santa Margherita after the marriage, as a child was born there in 1865.
