My sister spent the last 12 years of her life doing genealogy research, I have it all, but it's in Family Tree Maker format and she died 13 years ago so I have no idea how to access most of her research. Luckily she kept pdf's, gifs, jpegs which I can access and tiffs which I can't access. I have lots of data. Some I can get to, some I can't. So I'm just trying to build the trees farther back than the history that I know because we have always been proud of our history in the U.S. Getting history on the other side of the pond is harder.

just as an aside... I've read so many handwritten documents from the late 1700s-early 1800's in the last week that I've discovered something interesting about how they wrote a double s .... it definitely led to some incorrect transcripts. "Case" instead of "Cass" and the problems connecting Amoret Cossitt to her parents are getting frustrating. I know who her parents are, but I can't prove it. I found a published Cossitt Family genealogy but an 1810 US census from New York would be nice ... guess I'll have to schedule a road trip because it certainly isn't online. And just because it's published doesn't mean it's right either - I know that.
