Thank you Barry for the merge of Part-55 to Part-7. I am so happy that the error I made in creating Part-55 has been cleared up. My brother-in-law's family are descendent of many Acadian. His last name is Arcement. I want to research as much as I am able to and enter it into Wiki Tree as this is such fascinating history of people and I feel privileged to be connected to through marriage.

Hi Barry

It has been a couple of weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Louisiana Families Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.

We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.

If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.

Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

Hello, Barry,

Thank you for responding.

If you could please give us a general idea of the ways in which you have been contributing to the Acadia Project for the last couple of months, it would be very helpful to the leaders.

Hi Barry, I stumbled upon https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Daigle-179 again this morning and removed what was in the biography (it was for a daughter). There had been an attempt to merge him with another Jean Daigre but there wasn't enough evidence and the other PM objected. We need to figure out who he is or merge him away. A profile like this is too tempting for others to come along and try to put parents and kids on without sources. What do you suggest?

Hi Barry, Haven't heard from you for a while, but I notice you're still wikitree-ing. I thought of you this morning when looking at old St. John the Baptist Parish records recently put on the internet by Diocese of New Orleans. digitized scans. What caught my eye was a record with the name Antoine Folse on it. Thought you'd be interested. Click on St. John the Baptist, Edgard, Marriage, 1772 - 1807 when you are on the linked page. Then scan the records--it's not too far down. Looks like he was a witness or official but he had a nice signature. Caution, it downloads a .pdf to your hard drive without asking nicely. How are you doing?

Barry, unfortunately I don't have Vol 7 of NO records nor the other book you cited. I know that Jacqueline Girouard (Girouard-4019) has most of the NO books so you might want to check with her. If you don't feel comfortable doing that, then I can. Let me know. Volume 7 would cover the years 1800-1803 and I guess the BELGAR is related to BelleGarde?

Barry, I agree that Delaune 128 and 10 appear to be the same. I am new to this and need instructions on how to merge. My source is George F. Delaune of New Roads who has done extensive Delaune geneology. My copy of his work is several years old and may not be up to date. Thank you for your help. The other conflicting entry belongs to Anita Delaunw who I do not know, but who must be our mutual cousin.

HI Barry, thanks for your inquiry and for jogging me to do things right--I intended to but something interferred. I do wish WikiTree would allow us to comment when we set unmerged profiles. I posted this on the two profiles: Edelmeier-11 and Edelmeyer-19 have been set as unmerged matches to allow the profile managers to agree upon the last name at birth.
