Senora Foland was born May 7, 1845, in Bath County, Kentucky, and departed this life April 17th, 1928, at the home of her daughter, Clara Hennegin, near Conway, Ia., at the age of 82 years, 11 months and 10 days. With her parents she came to Platte County, Missouri, in 1852. They resided there two years, and then moved to Worth County, Mo., near Oxford. She resided there until womanhood. She was united in marriage to Joshua R. Freemyer, May 15, 1865. To this union was born ten children, seven girls and three boys, as follows: Mary H. Sweet of Delphos, Ia.; Martha R. Morros of Ellendale, Minn., John E. Freemyer, of Bedford, Ia.; Archer M. Freemyer of Los Angeles, Calif.; Lizzie S. Elliott, and Ada B. Thompson of Clarinda, Ia.; Alice M. Severns of Louisburg, Mo.; Clara M. Hennegin of Conway, Ia.; Anna G. Vanskyock of Blockton, Ia.; and Charles W., who died in infancy. They moved to Taylor County in 1869. She has resided here ever since. She leaves to mourn her departure, besides her nine children, one brother, William Foland, of Parnell, Mo.; 46 grandchildren, 30 great grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, and a host of other relatives and friends. She united with the Christian Church of Isadora, Mo., in 1886. She removed her membership to the Baptist Church of Athelstan, Ia., in 1904, where she has remained a faithful member ever since. Her husband preceded her April 3, 1903. She was a true companion, kind and loving mother, good neighbor and a loyal friend.
