MRS. GRAHAM DIES AT RESIDENCE HERE

Mrs. Sarah Flint Graham, 98, honorary deaconess and the oldest member of the Baptist Temple, died late Sunday night at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Homer Thompson of 1526 Washington St., E., after a brief illness. She was the widow of Joseph U. Graham, a lumberman, whom she married Jan. 7, 1868 at Alderson.
Services will be held today at 4:30 p.m. at the Thompson residence with Rev. Strother A. Campbell of the Baptist temple officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial park in charge of the Scales mortuary. The family has requested that flowers be omitted.
Mrs. Graham, the daughter of Jeremiah D. Flint and Lucinda Arbaugh Flint, was born May 18, 1846 on her father's farm near the present location of the Patrick St. bridge. She lived in Summers county for several years returning to this county about 44 years ago.
Also surviving are four other daughters, Mrs. Zora E. Burdett, Mrs. Robert Escham and Mrs. Robert Sullivan, all of Charleston, and Mrs. Hettie Burdette of Ardsley, N. Y., 16 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
