Hello Becky, hope all is well. If you have no objections, I will be adding a husband, a son, and sources to your profile for Mary Catherine Hammer, Hammer-1756. You have a good rest of the day,

Hi,

The Global Cemeteries Project is currently undergoing our member check-in and wanted to verify that you are still active and interested in being a member of the project. Are you currently assigned to or working with one of our Cemetery Teams? If not, is there a particular Team or area you are interested in participating with? I would be delighted to help you get setup in one or more of our collaborative teams!

We use Google Groups for internal project collaboration, so if you are not yet setup for access feel free to submit a join request and we will get that approved as quick as possible. We also ask that members check their follwed tags to make sure you are following the correct project tag (CEMETERIES) so you don't miss any disucssions in G2G.

Last, but not least, we would like to thank you for all of your contributions to WikiTree and let you konw that any ideas or suggestions for improvement you may have for the Global Cemeteries Project would greatly appreciated!

I look forward to hearing form you soon!

Hi Becky,

We’ve made some exciting changes to the Global Cemeteries Project. The sub-projects have been merged into the Global Project to help with Leadership and to facilitate collaboration.

Some roles within the project have changed. From now on, there are Project Coordinators for each continent, and one for Welcome and Integration, plus Team Leaders for each individual Country etc.

Please let me know if you’d like to stay on in the new project, if you’d like to continue in an existing role, and which team(s) you’d like to be on. Please also give me your e-mail address so that I can get you added to the project’s Google Group.

Many thanks,

Susie, Leader, Global Cemeteries

Hi Becky,

This is a courtesy e-mail to see how things are going and give you the link to WikiTree's How-Tos pages.

Thanks for taking the Pre-1700 Quiz! Pre-1700 ancestors are shared by many descendants and fall under projects. You can learn more about joining the project community in the Project FAQ.

Each project page indicates how to collaborate with the project members and may include resources and profile guidelines. Let me know if you have trouble finding projects which fit your focus.

Click my name, then ask in the comment section of my page.

Debi ~ Pre-1700 Greeter

P.S. If links do not work in an email from WikiTree, try them from the comment section on your profile

Thanks for the info Becky. Do you know if "Major" was a military title or was it his given name ? Trying to identify which man was his father, so just checking if you have any dates or wives names ?

Per Belinda K Pierce "I have found new information in regards to the true father of Rev. John as being Major Weatherford in a book called "The Virginia Baptist Register" It was published by the Virginia Baptist Historical Society, book number 8. The book was written in 1969. It includes information and documentation.

In 1773, John was imprisoned in a Chesterfield jail for preaching the Gospel without having a license in the state of Va. He was released through the efforts of Patrick Henry who was his neighbor and an attorney at the time. The Weatherford Memorial Baptist Church in Richmond, Va. is named after him. A Mr. James B. Taylor had stated that there were twelve daughters and three sons of the union, which might suggest that the other seven daughters may not have grown to maturity. Pittsylvania Co., Va. Records Deed 45, pg. 304, made Dec 18, 1841, Recorded on Dec 20, 1841: Jepe Woodson, Executor of John Weatherford, Dec'd. where John Weatherford left John Woodson and Charles A. Weatherford Executors of his Will. Exhibited to the County Court on the March term in 1833. Executor was required to sell a certain tract of land after the death of Martha Weatherford and she having also departed this life advertised land to be sold on Nov 27, 1841. 250 Acres for $840.00. It was sold to William Womack, adjoining Samuel Fitzgerald, James M. Davis, Robert Easley and another containing 250 acres. "

No reason was given as to why his parents were removed without replacing them with new ones ???

@17:06: Becky (Flinchum) Lambert removed Charles Weatherford as the father from John Weatherford.

@17:06: Becky (Flinchum) Lambert removed Mary (Wilkerson) Curry as Mother for John Weatherford.
