Hi Cindy, You may or may not have heard about the up coming Clean-a-Thon on Apr 21-23. Team Tornadoes from the Source-a-Thon is back again this time as Tidying Tornadoes. We are still a Midwest team. We would love to have you on the team for this.

If you would like to come join us, registration ends on the 19th. Right now it can be found here https://www.wikitree.com/g2g/586403/will-you-participate-our-2018-spring-clean-a-thon-current?start=40#a_list_title. If it no longer says current it should have a link to the current one. All you have to do then is say you are in and are with Tidying Tornadoes. I hope to see you there, Amanda

Hi Cindy,

Congratulations on being Pre-1700 certified! Based on your ancestors, it looks like you’re going to be working on profiles that fall under several Projects. I'm here to help you find one that best fits your needs.

Start by thinking about the particular time periods, locations, and topics in which you're interested. Do you have some historically-significant ancestors? Take a look at the list of active projects for examples of what we have going on.

If you see one that's just right, go ahead and join. Otherwise, let me know what you're looking for and I'll see what I can find.

Thank you for pointing this out. I'm relatively new at this. I'm going to watch the tutorial again.

Hi Cindy,

I noticed you've been adding sources today, but you haven't been removing the "unsourced" template. Is that on purpose? Just wondering. -Robb

Hi Cindy,

We've made a change in how the tutorials are sent to new members. Instead of weekly messages you can now work at your own pace.

How is it going so far? Was the first page of the How-Tos helpful or did it leave you with questions?

Feel free to message me if you have any questions.

Cindy --

You may have been hard at work adding family members and getting connected to those that are already here. You probably have at least a few profiles that you manage now. So, this week we're going to look at how to work with your Watchlist: How to Manage Your Watchlist.

As always, your questions are welcome!

Hi Cindy

You've been here for several weeks now. We hope your profiles are starting to come together and that you've enjoyed getting to know all of us a little better.

You're probably getting a good feel for the collaborative nature of WikiTree by now. We know that collaboration isn't always easy. So, we've put together a few pointers that can make working in this type of environment a little easier: How to be a Successful WikiTreer.

As always, your questions are welcome

It's time for your next stop on the guided tour!

This week, we'd like to show you How to Join in the Community. There's no shortage of opportunities to get involved through social media, our forum, and projects.

Be sure to check out the One Name Studies Project to see if anyone has started a project for one of the surnames in your family. Don't see one? Follow the instructions for starting your own!

Please let me know if you have questions. :-) If the above link does not work from your email, please go to your profile in the public comments and it will work from there.

Thanks, WikiMessenger Cindy

As always, your questions are welcome!
