Biography

This profile is part of the Ellis Name Study.

Gilbert Ellis died on 3 May 1889 in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was buried in Columbus Ohio the following day.[1] Gilbert wrote a will on 8 March 1889. His wife, Susan Ellis was named Executrix.[2]

Rowland Ellis of the Township of Bucking in the County of Bucks passed away before 9 November1839 when his will was proved. It looks like his wife's name was Sydia (Lydia?). The following children were recorded in the will: Charles, Amos, Cary, Gilbert and a daughter, Sarah Walton, wife of Amos Walton. Charles Ellis and Amos Ellis were named executors. [3]
