Biography

Kathleen (Doyle) Colclough was born in Ireland.

Kate, daughter of John and Bessie (née Cully) Doyle, was born on the 3rd May 1888 in Leinster Lodge, County Kildare.^[1]

In the 1901 census Katie (aged 11), Scholar, was the daughter of [[|John Doyle in Grangemellon, County Kildare.^[2]

In the 1911 census Kate (aged 21), Housemaid, was the single servant of Charles Gude in The Gables, St Georges Road, St-Margarets-on-Thames, Isleworth, Middlesex.^[3]

Catherine Doyle of Athy Road, Carlow married John Colclough of Castle Street, Carlow on the 12th February 1917 in Carlow Cathedral; in the presence of William Finn and Annie Scully.^[4] They had six children:

1. Bridget Mary, b.14th June 1917 in Coal Market, Carlow.
2. Elizabeth Teresa, b.22nd April 1918 in Coal Market, Carlow.
3. William, b.1922 in Carlow.
4. Patricia Josephine, b.13th March 1923 in Coal Market, Carlow.

6. Margaret Mary, b.1927 in Carlow.

Kathleen Colclough died (aged 71) on the 29th April 1960 at 16 Castle Street, Carlow ^[5] and was buried in Saint Mary's Cemetery, Carlow.^[6][7]
