Biography

John Henry Dorsey was born on 6 Jan 1817 in North Carolina to parents John Henry Dorsey and Mary Robinson Riley. He married firstly Sarah Denny about 1839 in South Carolina. Children: Mary Jane, Joshua Denny. He married secondly Sarah (Sallie) Reed about 1844. Children: Benjamin Franklin, Andrew J, James Virgil, Amanda Lou (Mandy), Rosilla, Alonzo M.

He was a cooper when he and Sarah appeared on the census of 23 October 1850 at Division 12, Cass County, Georgia.^[1]

He died on 16 Apr 1904 in Pickens, Georgia.
