Kyle was born as C. Kyle Dane (no first name, just a first initial) at Arcadia Methodist Hospital in Arcadia, California on July 14th, 1970 (Bastille Day). He married his high school sweetheart, Raquel Montoya in 1998 and they have two children: Annabel, born in 2004 and Lucy, born in 2007.
Kyle caught the genealogy and family history bug from his grandmother, Edith Thacher Dane, who gave him a copy of a hand-written family tree produced for her grandmother, Elizabeth Baldwin Sherman when Kyle was a child. He started digging into family history during his college days at UCLA, and has gradually built an extensive family tree as resources and other researchers have increasingly come online since 1995. Kyle uses various avenues to record his genealogy experiences and to preserve and digitize family stories and media, including blogging: http://danegenealogy.blogspot.com; scanning digital media on Pinterest (http://www.pinterest.com/kyledane/) and Flickr (http://www.flickr.com/photos/kyleshistory/); (http://www.flickr.com/photos/78596477@N07/). Kyle has been maintaining and updating profiles on WikiTree.com since 2013. Kyle has done a great deal of work on WikiTree profiles and free space pages related to the Salem Witch Trials.
Kyle graduated from UCLA with a Bachelor of Arts in Business Economics in 1993. He also has a Master's in Economics from UC Davis (2002).
He has worked:
Somewhere in all this, Kyle wrote a science fiction novel called Fortress Beverly Hills (2009) . The novel is self-published through Lulu.com (http://www.lulu.com/shop/kyle-dane/fortress-beverly-hills/paperback/product-5531898.html) and Amazon.com (http://www.amazon.com/dp/B005H97XYA/) and has been promoted only lightly, so it's sold less than a hundred copies so far. Maybe someday...
Kyle was one of three founding members of the Galaxians S.C. in 1996, a supporters club for Major League Soccer's Los Angeles Galaxy (https://www.lagalaxy.com/club/supporters/galaxians). He counts as one of his most memorable experiences a trip to Portland, Oregon in 1997 to support his national soccer team in the United States Men's World Cup Qualifier against Costa Rica.

I have portraits of Thomas Edmands and his wife (born 1780-1850. I saw you posted information regarding Thomas Edmands and wondered how you are related. My Great-grandmother's step father was J Cushing Edmands. His grandfather was Thomas - all from Newton I think. Thanks Paul Pennoyer
My search came when my niece asked for information about the civil war sword that she plans to use to cut her wedding cake next week out in San Francisco. The sword, a ceremonial sword given probably after the war to JC Edmands has been used by two generations of Pennoyer's to cut wedding cakes! I am not sure what the protocol for contacting you is but I will, at risk of being banned form Wikitree give you my email address. I live in Essex MA, not far from the Edmonds hometown of Newton. If you think its more appropriate to continue contacts through this site I apologize for the intrusion. Paul Pennoyer - [email address removed]
During the winter, the Nordic Project performed check-ins, sent as a private message from your profile. You are one of those members who has not replied, and this is a last chance to get in touch and let me know if you like to continue as member in the Nordic Project.
Please answer this comment, and get in touch by sending me a private message. If we have not heard from you within a month you will be removed from the Nordic google group and your badge will be removed.
If you have not received any check-in emails, you might want to check that your email adress for WikiTree is one you actually still use.
Thank you!
Missy Berryann Co-Leader, Nordic Project
I am checking in on behalf of the 1776 Project to announce the new project membership requirements and to verify that you are still interested in being a member of the project. All project members are being asked to join one of the project teams and also to make at least one project contribution every 6 months. We are also asking all project members to join the project's Google Group for project communications.
If you are interested in remaining with the Project, please reply to this comment or send me a message, request to join the Google Group, and let us know what team you would like to participate on.
We really appreciate your contributions on WikiTree, and thank you for all your hard work. If you have any questions, please ask. We would also love to hear any feedback you may have for the project.
If we don't hear back from you we will assume that you no longer wish to participate in the project and if so, you could rejoin at any time as is convenient for you.
We look forward to hearing from you soon!

It has been a few weeks since we contacted you about your participation in the Black Sheep Project and as we haven't heard from you, we are following up to make sure you wish to remain a member.
We understand that interests shift as we grow our shared tree and that some members may have moved on to projects more pertinent to the branches they are currently building. If this is the case for you, please let us know.
If we do not hear back from you within the week, we will assume you have moved on to other things for the moment and remove you from the project. Please know that you will always be welcome to rejoin should your interests shift back in this direction.
Thank you so much for your participation; we genuinely appreciate it.

We sent you a message a while ago about your current status as Project Coordinator and have not yet heard back from you. If we dont hear from you in the next week we will assume you no longer wish to continue as a Project Coordinator on WikiTree at this time, but you are welcome to get back in touch with your Project Leaders to have your badge reinstated.
Many thanks,
Susie and Eowyn
Im working with Eowyn to check-in with everyone holding the Project Coordinator badge to make sure we have the most up-to-date information. As a Project Coordinator badge holder, please can you let me know which project(s) you are currently coordinating and if you have a specific role as coordinator in those projects?
Many thanks,
Susie
