James was born about 1771 and baptised on the 9th June 1771 at Holy Cross, Seend, Wiltshire, England, the son of James Cornick and Ann Cornick[1].
On the 12th April 1790, James Cornick of Seend, married Rachael Crook of Southbroom, at St. James, Southbroom a chapelry of Bishop's Cannings, Wiltshire, England[2][3].
In 1823, James was living at Melksham, Wiltshire, England.
He passed away aged 53 years in 1823 and was buried on the 31st March 1823 at St. Michael & All Angels, Melksham, Wiltshire, England[4].

Research Notes
It is not known if Rachael Crook (1766-1828) was a spinster or a widow. No baptism can be found for a Rachael/Rachel Crook(e) although there were Crook(e) families living in both Southbroom and Seend. No marriages can be found for a Crook(e) and a Rachael/Rachel in the area prior to the marriage of Samuel Curnick in 1790.
