NEW BEDFORD -- Elmer Worthington Connick, 83, of New Bedford, died Monday, June 2, 1997 at Hathaway Manor Extended Care Facility.
He was the husband of Clara E. (Eaton) Connick and son of the late Melvin L. and Mae (Clarke) Connick.
He was born in New Bedford and lived in New Bedford most of his life.
He was a member of the Pilgrim United Church of Christ.
He was formerly employed by George Holstrom Distributors as a salesman for 20 years. He later was employed by Vermette’s Package Store until his retirement in 1974.
Mr. Connick was a World War II Navy veteran, a member of the Disabled American Veterans Dr. C.E. Burt Chapter 7, and a life member of the New Bedford Protection Society. He enjoyed bass fishing off the Cape Cod Canal.
Survivors include his widow; and several nieces and nephews, including Dr. Bradford Chase of Holbrook who lived with the Connicks at one time.
Arrangements are by Saunders-Dwyer Home for Funerals, 495 Park Street.
