it's annual check-in time 2023. If you still wish to remain a member of the Germany Project, please reply to this post, by stating this intention. If we don’t hear from you in the next 30 days, your membership badge will be removed. In this case please don't be offended ... you're welcome to rejoin at any time. Please also note, that in order to receive help, with researching your German ancestors, membership is not mandatory. Just ask your questions in the G2G forum and tag them with Germany in order for knowledgeable people to see them.
If you wish to remain a member, we would like to learn more about your perception of the Germany Project in order to achieve a future development according to our members needs and wishes. For this, we created a survey, which we kindly ask you to fill-in.
In case you want to communicate, discuss and receive help about WikiTree in German, you might want to check out the WikiTree category at Compgen’s Discourse as well as the German Discord server Ahnenforschung.
Of course there’s still the official WikiTree Discord server, where we usually talk English. Feel free to learn more about Discord and the server at Help:Discord.
Kind regards from Black Forest
Please keep me in the Germany Project. I have multiple profiles I have been working on and will continue to add and update. Thank you immensely for all of your kind help, expertise, and especially your patience.
Many thanks again, Catherine
I noticed that you used https://our-royal-titled-noble-and-commoner-ancestors.com/p6279.htm#i188513 as a 'source'. This isn't a reliable source for pre 1700 English profiles. Marlyn Lewis uses a mixture of good sources and not so good sources. In this case, the citation is to an Ancestry tree. (all his info on the Martyn's of Athelhampton is very muddled.*) The England project has a help guide to reliable sources which may help.https://www.wikitree.com/wiki/Space:England_Project_Reliable_Sources
Helen
Edit For example Sir William Martyn of Athelhampton was not the same person as Sir William Martyn Lord Mayor of London . This article expains and the information in it is accurate (the records exist) https://dorset-ancestors.com/?p=2332

You’re very welcome. I looked at the source again this morning and agree completely.
I thank you for the link to the England Project.

It makes the software think that it should be coding for a template (or multiple templates on your profile) and reports multiple errors.
If you wish to make an internal link, use the double square brackets around the name and ID.
Please PM me if you would like some help with this.
Best wishes, Jo, England Project Managed Profiles coordinator

Perhaps you could remove all your text from the bio for now? You could transfer it into a text editor program and locate the curly brackets causing this problem and then add back some shortened version of it? It is really a very long text to be in a biography of a profile.

Best wishes, Jo
There are multiple suggestions on this profile. Since this profile is locked, would you be willing to make the corrctions? Most are 841 Template doesn't start with double { . See the suggestions list under the drop down menu under the profiles name Coffman-2052. example of one is this: PGM Descendant|[[Stebbins-1|NameSarah (Stebbins) Merrick]]}} Missing double curly brackets at the beginning. Pre-1700 ancestors can be shared by many descendants, so collaboration is essential. You can learn more about joining the community in How To #3 and in the Project FAQ.
Sources are very important here on Wikitree, especially on Pre-1700 profiles. It is how we show where we got the info and helps others find it too. Find out more about Pre-1700 Profile sourcing here and source citation info here.
The Puritan Great Migration project may fit your research focus. If not, use the Pre-1700 Projects list to find other possibilities. Review the project page to learn about resources and guidelines as well as how to collaborate with the project members.
If you have any questions, click reply below this message and I will get back to you.

I am pleased to welcome you as a member of the WikiTree family. Your contributions will go a long way to joining the world’s trees together.
I would suggest starting with the New Member How-To pages, they will save you a lot of time and frustration.
Please add as much information as you can, with sources, as it all helps to turn a “name” back into a person. I hope you enjoy the site as much as I do.
You mentioned that you are new to genealogy. No problem! Every genealogist is a beginner at some point.
Take your time, keep track of sources, and ask questions. Check here for tips.
Have fun collaborating on your ancestors
