Biography

Barbara was born in Paisley, Renfrewshire in 1894. She was the daughter of Matthew Coats and Mary Buchanan.[1]

Barbara was an engineer’s draughtswoman and a first aid worker during WW2. She died on 6 May 1941 when the Woodside First Aid Post in Paisley was struck by a parachute bomb.[2][3]
