Biography
Duncan was born 11 Sept 1731[1][2][3]. He may have married Ann Brown circa 1764 in Glasgow[4]. He passed away in 2 Apr 1797[5][6].
Duncan died 2 Apr 1797[7], and was buried in Bourne, Lincoln. Occupation: A Lisbon merchant[8].
Duncan married Mary Rattray according to notes of C.T. Winter; but a pedigree provided by Sir John Clerk to Bird, 12 Mar 1991, has his wife as Ann dau of H. Brown Esq., born circa 1764. The latter seems more likely to be correct as his first born child was named Ann.
Marriage to Mary Rattray is copied from Ancestry, possibly from another relative with access to C.T. Winter's notes. There are no media or a source citation for this data, therefore it needs to be confirmed.
