Biography
Mavis was born about 1917, the daughter of Robert William Clark and Edith Frances (Vockins)[1]
She married John William Price somewhere before 1939 when he enlisted in the Australian Army. He died when the "Montevideo Maru" was sunk on 1 July 1942.
On 3 April 1947 she married Samuel Hughes in the Brougham Place Congregational Church in North Adelaide, South Australia. She was 30 years old and widowed. Samuel (son of David Thomas Hughes) was 33 years old and divorced.[2]
She passed away in 1973 aged 57 years in the Whyalla Hospital. She was living in Arno Bay, South Australia before her death.[3]
