Ken, I found a few photographs in a family collection; three of them note that they are of Robert Taber, and the apparent age of the subject appears to coincide with your Robert Holloway Taber. My family has deep roots in New Bedford, Wareham and Marion, which would also fit the location you note. There are Tabers associated with my family through my great-great grandmother, Abigail West (Taber) Blankinship. One of the photos, depicting a quite old gentleman, is dated 1914 in pencil, just a year off from your Robert's given death date -- not a strong indicator, but possible. I'm dead-ended on the Tabers from New Bedford. Any help appreciated, and please let me know if there are "loose strings" I might have some insight into.

Hi Ken,

Just wondering the source of info used for changing the first and middle name positions for Veronica Barbara Shenk Horst to Barbara Veronica Shenk Horst? The Find-A-Grave reference has her listed as Barabara Horst and so does 1850 & 1860 Census? It was common back then to change the order of names around. I would like to add a note as to why the first and middle names were reversed. Thanks, Jim Harkness
