Biography

George, son of George Chisholm & Jane, was baptised on 9 January 1797 in Blandford Forum, Dorset, England.^{[1] [2]}

George was a student at Oxford University Chisholm, George, s. George, of Blandford, Dorset, cler. Worcester Coll., matric. 16 Dec., 1809, aged 14; B.A. 1814, M.A. 1818, B.D. & D.D. 1827, rector of Ashmore, Dorset, and P.C. St. Peter's, Hammersmith.^[3]

After his father died George became Rector at Ashmore, Dorset. He was not a permanent resident in the parish, but ran a large private school at Bradmore House, Hammersmith, London. He was also curate of St Peter's, Hammersmith. He died on 9th March 1854 at Hammersmith. He did not marry.^[4]

In the 1841 census George (age 45) was in Hammersmith, Middlesex, England.^[5]

George's death (age 58) was registered in the Jan-Feb-Mar quarter of 1854 in the Kensington Paddington and Fulham district.^[7] He was buried at St Nicholas' Church, Ashmore, Dorset where he had been Rector.^[8]
