Biography

Elizabeth was born on the 8th February 1796 in Cornhill, London the daughter of Joseph Chater and Elizabeth (Cunningham) Chater.[1]

Elizabeth married Thomas Boosey on the 12 March 1816 in the parish of St James Garlickhythe, London, England, both were single at the time of their marriage.[2]

The marriage announcement in the 1816 edition of The New Monthly Magazine vol 5: Mr Thos Boosey, Jun of Broad Street, to Elizabeth, eldest daughter of Mr Joseph Chater of Thames Street.[3]

Their marriage is listed on London Sandemanian Marriages and other links between church members. There were about 70 marriages between the families of the London Sandemanian's of which this was one.

1841 Census on the 6th June 1841 Elizabeth was living in Rodney Street, Clerkenwell, Middlesex with her husband Thomas, and their children Caroline, Frances shown as Fanny, Rachel, Charlotte, John, Ellen and Edward shown as Cunningham.[4]

1851 Census on the 30th March 1851 Elizabeth was living at Notting Hill Square, Kensingston, Middlesex with her husband Thomas, and their children Harriet, Rachel, Charlotte, John, Ellen, Edward shown as Cunningham, and Emily. Also visiting there was Charlotte Chater aged 23.[5]

Elizabeth died aged 64 on the 2nd May 1860 in Kensingon, Middlesex.[6]

According to the newspaper announcement:Boosey - On the 2nd Insts., aged sixty-four, Elizabeth, Wife of Mr Thomas Boosey of Notting Hill Square.[7]

Membership of the Sandemanian Church

Elizabeth was admitted into membership of the London Sandemanian Church on 26 October 1828 according to the membership records. The records state that she was the wife of Thomas died May 2, 1860 aged 64 years [8]
